Stephen Rutkowski is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in patent prosecution for a variety of clients, ranging from multinational corporations to start-ups. In addition, Steve has experience preparing and prosecuting patents within a diverse scope of technological areas, including specialized hardware and software devices, electro-mechanical devices, medical devices, as well as design patents. 

He also worked as a materials engineer for over six years before becoming a patent attorney. As a materials engineer, Steve has experience in all aspects of the growth and fabrication of single crystals for opto-electronic applications, including optical components for telecommunications devices.  

Steve holds a B.S. degree in Materials Engineering from Rutgers University and a J.D. degree from The City University of New York (“CUNY”) School of Law, where he won first place in the CUNY Moot Court Competition.
