Jacob Aikin is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on technology areas including front-end and back-end semiconductor process, semiconductor packaging, manufacturing equipment, display hardware, solar and medical devices.  Jacob is experienced in advising clients in the development of complex IP portfolios, due diligence evaluations, and negotiation of development agreements to provide protection for their innovation and capital investments.  Jacob is licensed to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 

As part of Jacob's ongoing practice, Jacob continues to reserve bandwidth to represent entrepreneurs and venture-backed startups, with a distinguished track record of representation commencing with early financing stages through successful acquisition. 

Jacob obtained a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Washington in 1999, while earning a minor in Chemistry.  Jacob graduated from Santa Clara University of School of Law in 2006, while also obtaining the High Tech Law Certificate and CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Patent Law Practice.
