As registered patent attorney, Farzad’s primary practice area is drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical and mechanical arts.  With several years industry experience as a design engineer prior to becoming a patent attorney, Farzad has intimate knowledge of or patent-related experience with products in the following technical fields: 

audio signal processing; codecs; robotic control systems; illumination devices; electro-acoustic devices; ophthalmic devices; electrical power supply electronics;  antennas; electric motors; and digital cameras.

Farzad is admitted to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office and the US District Court for the Southern District of California.

Farzad graduated from the University of Southern California in 1988 with a B.S. degree, the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993 with an M.S. degree (both in electrical engineering), and Loyola Law School in 1996 with a J.D. degree.
